My wife and I and two other couples chartered Aurum for an intimate cruise (just 6 of us on a yacht that can hold 12). The crew practically spoiled us from start to finish – it felt like having a private five-star hotel on the water, and we never had to lift a finger. The extra space was fantastic: we each had our own cabin with room to spare, and there were multiple lounging areas so you could always find a quiet nook to read or nap as we sailed. Our itinerary was completely custom – we decided to explore northern Dalmatia, so the captain took us through the Kornati Islands, which have an almost otherworldly beauty, and even up the Krka River so we could visit the waterfalls. Every meal on board was a delight – one evening the chef grilled fresh fish we had caught that day, and on another night we enjoyed an onboard wine tasting with excellent Croatian wines the crew had sourced on shore. It was a truly personalized trip, and by the end of the week we felt completely rejuvenated and closer as friends – Aurum’s crew set a new high bar for our future vacations.
We traveled with a group of four couples, and Saint Luca provided a truly relaxing and luxurious cruise experience for all of us. This yacht is nearly brand new and felt like a floating boutique hotel – our cabins were spacious and modern, with high-end touches like rain-shower bathrooms. Our crew was the perfect blend of professional and friendly, greeting us each morning with coffee and fresh pastries on deck and each afternoon with a round of cocktails after our swims. The chef pampered us with gourmet meals – from daily fresh seafood to a special dinner of traditional peka (a slow-cooked Croatian roast) that we’re still talking about. We loved the itinerary the captain planned – we discovered tranquil spots like Lastovo and Mljet for kayaking in quiet lagoons, and still got to visit beautiful port towns like Korčula for sightseeing in the evenings. It was one of the most stress-free vacations I can remember – we’d return to sail on Saint Luca again in a heartbeat.
My friends and I (a group of 10) chose Altair for our Croatian adventure, and it was non-stop fun from day one. The crew was just as eager for fun – on our last night they hosted a barbecue dinner on deck, then joined our impromptu dance party under the stars. By day, we were all about the water: snorkeling around hidden coves, paddleboarding in calm bays each morning, and taking the dinghy out for some thrilling tubing rides. The captain knew exactly where to take us – one day we anchored at the Pakleni Islands near Hvar for a swim, and later we explored the Green Cave by Vis, where we snorkeled into a shimmering cavern. Altair had plenty of water toys and comfy spots to sunbathe, so whether we were recovering from a night out or cannonballing off the boat, everyone was having a blast – we made memories we’ll be talking about for years.
Our extended family of 15 chartered Tajna Mora for a reunion, and it was the perfect way for three generations of our family to make memories together. With 9 cabins, everyone from my 75-year-old parents to my little nephews had a comfortable room and plenty of space to either relax or play. The crew was fantastic with all ages – the captain let the grandkids visit the helm and taught them about navigation, while the chef wowed the adults with gourmet Croatian dishes every day. The crew even organized a surprise celebration for my parents’ anniversary, complete with a cake and a sunset toast on a secluded beach – truly magical. From the charming streets of Korčula to the hidden coves around Vis, every stop was a delight, and by the end of the week every one of us was in love with Tajna Mora and its crew – a trip our family will treasure forever.
We were a group of friends in our 30s, and Aurum was the ideal choice for our reunion cruise. This beautiful gulet had plenty of space for 12 of us to lounge and dine together, and the crew made sure we enjoyed every day to the fullest. The captain tailored a route that balanced lively spots like Hvar (where we danced until late) with peaceful bays on Mljet where we could kayak and swim in crystal-clear water. The crew’s local knowledge really showed – one afternoon they took us to a family-run winery on Korčula, which turned out to be a surprise highlight for all of us. On board we were spoiled with incredible meals (I still dream about the grilled squid and homemade pasta) and even enjoyed an impromptu game night with the crew under the stars – it was the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation for our group.
I recently chartered Maske for a week in Croatia with two families (9 of us including kids), and it was the perfect floating home. Maske’s crew of 4 went above and beyond to keep everyone happy – they even organized a fun treasure hunt onboard to entertain the kids one afternoon. We sailed from Split to Hvar, Vis, and Brač, stopping at beautiful spots like the Blue Cave and Zlatni Rat beach so the kids could swim and play. The chef amazed us with delicious meals, even catering to our picky eaters with special kid-friendly dishes while we adults enjoyed fresh grilled fish and local wine. The cabins were comfortable and air-conditioned (a blessing in the July heat), and by the end of the trip the crew felt like part of our family – it was so hard to say goodbye.
